It's hard to believe that Summer is close to ending and that Fall is upon us! It has been a unique time in the world to say the least, thus making for a unique summer spent mostly indoors. In trying to provide our GANG some tips on how to best take care of mind, body and spirit this summer, we created a Summer Self-Care Series.
A few weeks ago we had the pleasure to partner up with Rachel Hilinski as part of our Series. Rachel Hilinski is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Meditation Teacher who helps people develop a lifestyle that promotes health, wholeness and healing. Her knowledge extends well over a decade and she has studied with many greats including Deepak Chopra!
Over the course of the week that we partnered, she shared her passion about living a holistic lifestyle through Nutrition and Meditation. She provided her healthy smoothie recipe, taught us about the importance of breath work and guided us through a practice and even led the most beautiful guided meditation. Dry Brushing has many health benefits, the most relevant to our GANG being moving and circulating your lymph. Moving your lymph is important for anyone, but especially if your lymphatic system has been compromised due to a cancer diagnosis. Having a compromised lymphatic system due to cancer requires one to focus on ways to improve lymphatic drainage. There are things we can do to encourage lymphatic circulation such as lymphatic drainage massage, acupuncture or dry brushing. Be sure to take advantage of the free resource. Thank you Rachel!
